University of Kansas Launches International Direct Admissions Process

It is easier than ever for your students to apply to KU!

We are pleased to announce that the University of Kansas (KU) is now among the list of Shorelight partners offering the International Direct admissions process.

The International Direct admissions process is a streamlined approach for placing students into the optimal entry level to promote long-term educational success. Once a student applies, they will be issued an offer that is the best match for their qualifications. This includes admission to Direct, Accelerator, and Academic English programs.

Students apply to the university, not to an individual program.

Applications are submitted and processed through Shorelight’s Admissions Portal, using the common Shorelight application.

Students benefit from Shorelight’s Signature Student Experience no matter which entry track they are eligible for. (Students with the wrap-around support report a 94% overall satisfaction rate!)

No application fees, SAT scores, or personal essays are required when applying through the International Direct process.

Academic English

Academic English will also be available starting Summer 2020, expanding opportunities for students who intend to pursue an academic program but do not yet meet the required language score outlined by their program.
